I do READ a lot as well. Maybe not as much as nobel prize winners but I do love my Chick Lit and a bit of vampire (mmmm, Edward). So I thought I would bring to you a bit about Carmen Reid.

Carmen Reid is an exceptional author and two of her books are “Did the earth move” and “Three in A bed” which are very funny and sad all at the same time. However, she is a fellow fashionista and has penned the personal shopper series.. The personal shopper, late night shopping, how not to shop and celebrity shopper which are absoloutly brilliant books and a must read if you love your brands as much as I do.

Enjoy :) xo

Okay, so spring is just around the corner, and if anybody knows me, they know that all I do is shop, shop, shop so for me this is an excuse to top up my wardrobe!!

1. Neon Brights

www.asos.com

This gorgeous orange dress is so on trend right now. Its acid bright colour is perfect for spring and at only £20.00, it would be mad not to!

2. Flares

www.next.co.uk

These authentic flare jeans are priced at £26.00 from www.next.co.uk. With many of the catwalks displaying 70s looks, flares will be a staple for your spring wardrobe.

3. Large Floral Prints

Alexon at Debenhams

This gorgeous dress is bang on trend for the floral print of Alexon at Debenhams, priced at £61.50. Not in your budget, and you want to still work the trend??  Go for the steal of the week with the floral blouse at New Look.

4. Brocade

Well, new look are doing brocade pumps for just £3.00 at the moment available in black, silver and gold. But if you are wanting to splash out a little more …

Guess at asos.com

This beautiful watch from Guess available at asos.com is perfect for the brocade trend and will carry you through many seasons with its very adaptable strap. Priced at £95.00, this guess watch is a steal.

Mango at asos.com

Well, after looking at this dress for 30 minutes and really trying to persuade myself not to buy there was nothing doing and I had to pop it in my basket. Absoloutly gorgeous and so on trend it is ridiculous. This price is marked at £49.90 and is an absoloute steal!

5. Colour blocking

South at www.littlewoods.com

Arrgh, just took delivery of my brand new littlewoods spring/summer catalogue and this is definitely on my list priced at £45.00 and you can spread the cost with free interest. It is a stunning design and will get you right through to autumn. Also, check out colleen rooney’s new range in littlewoods; her designs are stunning!

What is NOT on trend for spring/summer …

- Black .. embrace your colour and hide your inner goth as there is only a hint of black over the spring/summer trends.

- Kitten heels .. ditch the kittens and dig out your towering stilettos and your chunky platforms.

-Military .. let’s put it away for another day – we’re expecting a reappearance in the autumn/winter trend outlook.

So get shopping, get packing up and pray for a bit of sun :) xo

Struggling for wardrobe space?

My top tip at the moment is that as the weather heats up, you don’t your chunky knits as much and they do take up a lot of space in your wardrobe. My advice is to pop them into a vac bag and under the bed to save your space.

Really, I use this as an excuse to shop and fill it up a bit more :D xo

With the celebs, including Eva Mendes and Lauren Bosworth sporting large statement rings, I have found the ultimate splurge of the week. Available from Pistachio jewellery, this ring is a handmade sterling silver cocktail ring. It has a myriad of white sparkling crystals and is currently priced at £125.00 … well worth it in my opinion.

A Saturday Out ….

Well first of all, it was my cousin’s 18th birthday last night and rather than opting for a big bash, it was a small party at her house consisting of close friends and family members. I like to go dressed up to any occassion but as it was in a house I needed to tone down my luck marginally. I like to pick out my clothes and try them on before the night to avoid the last minute rushing about, deciding what to wear.

I decided to embrace the new fringe and go with a rock/grunge style look.

So basically, I decided on a grey long vest top with ruched detail at the side from the South label at Littlewoods. I then paired this this with my black and grey patterned shrug jacket from H&M (yes, I bought it in the sale) … Of course, I then paired this with wet look leggings the ultimate in grunge glamour from Papaya at Matalan and then as it is freezing outside, I used a crop leather jacket from New Look. Rock and grunge look to me is definitely black and then teamed with grey makes it easy to accessorise with silver accessories.

So … my jewellery included a beaded necklace to dangle down between the ruched neck of the vest top. I also wore a shorter silver necklace “Love” just to layer them up a bit. I wore the silver Tffany’s charm bracelet, Chanel earrings, a chunky silver ring from Primark and a double link chain watch that looked amazing with the shrug.

Finally … to complete the look I took my chanel lookalike handbag bought in spain from a market stall (naughty, I know) and my suede buttoned shoe boots from New Look.

So ultimately, a very high street style look but all the while chanelling Audrina Patridge from the Hills.

Oh, and happy birthday caroline :) x

So the fringe is back …

Well, I succumbed to my inner hair stylist, took the plunge and I now have a full fringe. How long was it before it was pushed back? Well two, actually. I took delivery of my H & M sale packages including my £3.99 dress and was getting irritated with the fringe so pushed it back with my hairband.

!!

Although I did get it Friday, it is not Sunday and it is surviving at the moment but let us see how long it lasts!

Is it time for the fringe?

So its the new year and I am wanting change! I’ve already ordered my size smaller sale clothes to wear with my new year detox. However, I always seem to find myself hijacking my hair for a full fringe to make a statement throughout January and February. So tomorrow is when I am making the change .. hopefully for the better!
